Linus and his blanket
Yep, Consumer's Energy is raising their natural gas prices this winter, rough estimates are 47% higher than last year.

People constantly complain about the cost of heating their homes. THIS IS MICHIGAN! It was 62 degrees Monday night. Today was a whopping 38.

Here is a thought: did you NEED that 2500 sq ft multi-level house?!!? Bet not. Multilevel houses are a bitch to heat. And most of the loudest complaints I've heard have been from The Big House Bunch who like to keep it at 75. All day, all night.

A few weeks ago, I spent less than $50 dollars on area rugs for my house, which will save us double that. I bought a few fluffy, fancy towels to line several of my window sills, which will be demoted to reg towel duty 9 months of the year. Each of us have at least 1 pair of fur-lined slippers.

Soft, fuzzy blankets are snuggled while watching TV or reading. Like Linus, we travel the house with them; otherwise, at least 2 kitties will claim mine less than 5 seconds after I get up for a drink. My investment of 4 sweaters, mostly turtlenecks, last Saturday will definitely earn their keep btwn Munchkin and me! And so will the pretty one that Gusto sent ME. Hubby will be wearing more of his hunting clothes...turtlenecks and flannels.

I doubt my heating bill price will go down, but I certainly don't want it to go UP.

My birthday was great!

It started over the weekend with a card from Lulu, then a pretty gift box from Gusto. And the goodies from my put-it-in-the-cart mother.

My coworkers made sure the day was special from the moment I walked in the door. Gifts and a big bouquet of flowers. While I sat in my office doing paperwork, many of my regulars stopped in to wish me a happy birthday. One even brought me a box of chocolate covered cherries!

I also had my yearly review, which was AWESOME!

Hubby cooked an awesome dinner of steak and fried potatoes, while Munchkin baked me a choco cake.

After dinner, I opened my stack of gifts. Hubby bought me all the M&M ornies for our family tree. Gusto's sweater and bracelet will be worn today and the dancing sunflower novelty will be taken to work for display.

My inlaws renewed my subscription to the ad-free Taste of Home magazine, plus gave me $20 and the movie, "Sweet Home Alabama."

And with the assistance of more than 80 oz of Diet Coke, I even phoned my mother. Surprised her "date" with Jay Leno by calling her during my birth time.

Weekend warriors
Since I had to work The Day After Thanksgiving, which broke numerous traditions, it was agreed upon that Saturday, my day off, would be Our Big Shopping Trip.

Munchkin and I drove over to pick up my mom and immediately started contributing to the economy. Never hitting a real mall.

We went to the Salvation Army first, since I am in desperate need of fluffy and soft turtlenecks and sweaters. For work, of course. For less than $30, I bought 4 sweaters, a pair of navy blue Liz Claiborne dress slacks and a CD. Munchkin picked out a cute miniskirt, high-heeled pink sneakers and two short-sleeved shirts.

We drove around our old stomping ground, commenting on all the changes, before finding a Panera for lunch. (Not sure what is up lately, Gusto, but they haven't had broc/chez soup, so it's been French onion, instead.) Lots of jokes were made about the Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin Robbins combo that is directly across the street from the house where I grew up.

While at Target and Kmart, my mom kept buying me anything that caught my eye. She bought me the snowman ornies by Martha and these cute dusty blue snowflake mini-glass bulbs. And a small roaster pan with the lid. And pretty cream-colored fleece jammies.

I also picked up a few decorations for work, like stockings, plus a few gifts for hubby and my stepson. We had a blast and arrived back at their house about 5:30ish. After chatting with my dad and stuffing ourselves on tamales and homemade pumpkin pie, Munchkin and I left around 7 p.m.

On our way home, we stopped at another Kmart (I forgot to pick up the boots they had on sale) and SuperWalmart. Munchkin took it upon herself to buy my birthday present without telling me...the Ultimate Dirty Dancing CD. She used her allowance for the surprise. Only after, did we see the Smoothie Machine, which was promptly placed in the cart.

Then we headed home to sleep off the "strenuous" day. It brought a huge smile to my heart when Munchkin said, "Mom, I really love hanging out with you and Nana. Us girls always have so much fun together!"

It's not what we bought her, not the clothes or Starbucks, it's the memories we built today that she's going to remember. Three generations just out laughing and chatting and spending time together. That's what she will pass onto her children.

That's what is important.

The cycle continues
Reading about all these parental notification laws legislated for girls wanting abortions worries me. And it has finally made it to the US Supreme Court.

Irony is when a judge decides that a girl is not mature enough to have an abortion. Yet, she IS mature enough to have a BABY?!!?

OMG, that explains A LOT of screwed up babies having babies.

I wonder if maturity comes into play if the girl decides she wants to give that same baby up for adoption. Are those proceedings halted because the teen hasn't grown up? It's not like they decide whether or not that same girl is mature enough to raise the baby, either.

I don't believe that going thru a pregnancy makes a girl more mature, period. Too many babies are born premature, addicted to drugs, alcohol, etc. Too many WOMEN get into abusive relationships repeatedly. And the kids are subjected to that, too.

Let's not forget the 16-year-old, pregnant Armada girl who was too afraid to try to get an abortion because of sketchy info. She had her boyfriend, the baby's father, repeatedly beat her belly with a baseball bat, killing the fetus after a few weeks.

IMHO, her having the child at term and hating, then abusing it because maybe her parents wouldn't LET her give it up for adoption, would have been far far more damaging. There ARE parents out there who would use this as punishment, a "you made your bed, now lay in it!" That doesn't inspire much love.

Of course, there is always the good old days, right?

Update on Christmas
Thanksgiving night, hubby told his parents that we won't be attending Christmas with his family. And while he explained how hurt he was over their games, they admitted leaving him out WAS intentional, but said they didn't mean to hurt him.

Huh.

Two out of the last 3 years have involved freakin' COSTUMES, but they preached to him about needing to keep "traditions" going. And they were NOT going to let him break the tradition of having it in their town.

Because THEY don't want to travel.

Hubby reminded them that every year, we have the added expense of gas money. Our participation in the newfangled festivities--food, costumes, gifts for games and gas--runs pretty darn close to $250.00. Guess who gets assigned each year to bring the 4 bags of large, peeled shrimp?

Then, hubby's older brother tried to guilt-trip that "Christmas was changed from traditional because it had just turned into a drunken party for everyone."

Let's just say that flat-out PO'd hubby, who reminded his bro of several points:
1. *I* flat-out do NOT drink on holidays.
2. Hubby rarely drinks because we have to drive his son home Christmas Eve, usually in the crappiest weather. If hubby does drink, it goes back to #1. Hubby does NOT get even close to "tipsy", let alone, "drunk."

And turning Christmas Eve into another freakin' Halloween party last year didn't stop the booze from flowing! In fact, Big Bro was hammered before we left at 9:30. Of course, hubby pointed out, he drove us home without a beer in his system.

Don't include US in the drunk generalization.

I was proud when hubby admitted that nearly cried while speaking with his parents about his feelings. He wasn't indignant, but vulnerable. He showed his parents how deeply they had wounded him.

When they kept going back to how unfair it was that a party at our house would be for everyone to have to TRAVEL, hubby stated that was irrelevant. It might have been, but without given the chance, nobody could say that was that. Their fears were merely hypothetical. What fact DID happen was keeping him blocked out.

No turkeys died in the making of our feast
The sun is out, the 30 mph winds are blowing and the Road Commission isn't expected to leave their warm homes today. Us, either. Munchkin and I will be feasting on a whole, stuffed chicken and our fave sides.

The pie is in the oven and it smells DAMN good! Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Friday Frou Frou: Giving Thanks Today
Thanksgiving Day
1. What time is the big dinner? Who will be joining you?
Dinner at my mom's was supposed to be 1 p.m., so I plan to have the chicken and sides ready about that time here. mmmm...
2. Do you watch football, a special movie, a parade, etc. on Turkey Day? As a tradition, nope, nada, nuttin'. This year, though, Munchkin and I will put in the new Willie Wonka DVD. Bought it a few weeks ago and never got around to watching it.

Stuffed!
1. Once you are stuffed with your Thanksgiving meal, how do you enjoy the rest of the evening?
Nibble, burp and eat more. Nibble, burp and eat more.
2. What part of your home is most stuffed right now? Hubby's room, he collects old puter parts/printers and just never does anything with them!

The Day After Thanksgiving
1. Do you have the day after Thanksgiving traditions?
Munchkin and I did, but it has been broken this year. No biggie, we haven't been impressed with the shopping "deals" anyway.
2. What is your favorite thing to make with the leftovers? Gimme a plate of turkey sandwiches!

Thanksgiving = the start of crappy weather
Looks like Munchkin and I may spend Thanksgiving at home because of the lousy weather. We did have plans to go to my parents' house for the free feast, but Mother Nature played her trump card.

No biggie, I have a whole chicken in the freezer, stuffing and a bunch of yummy sides, like pasta salad. And I bought a Sara Lee Cinnamon French Apple Deep Dish Pie . You know, it's an EMERGENCY!

Oh, yeah, we're A-OK to do it "our way."

Gonna have to wait til morning for a real decision tho. Rumor has it, the snow has stopped for tonight, but the remaining slush is going to freeze up and we will be getting some nasty winds starting shortly. And since the road commissions haven't been called out, conditions probably will leave a lot to be desired.

And if I cancel early enough, we can start eating the pie for breakfast!

The cost of war vs. a postage stamp
Oh, the complaints I heard yesterday about postage stamps going up next year! People who don't give 2 seconds of thought about our govt waging a $4.3 billion per month war have knotted panties over a 2-cent increase to send a bill payment.

Boy, I remember when my patriotism was called into question for NOT "supporting" the war in Iraq from its first invasion. Now, those same Americans have jumped over to MY side.

Remember back in 2002 when the war in Iraq was SUPPOSED to be just $11-13 Billion?

I'm not sure if it was good or bad that in 2003, the White House downplayed a $50-60 Billion estimate for the war in Iraq.

And as of January of this year, nearly a year ago, the price tag had risen to nearly $300 Billion, with EACH MONTH since then adding an approximate $4.3 Billion.

The last time the cost of mailing a letter was raised was 2002, just 3 cents. For those without a calculator, that's not even a penny per year.

Yep, people, suck up the BILLIONS of dollars that have been wasted by waging a war in Iraq FOR WHAT?!!? And then, biatch about the cost of a damn postage stamp!

In search of...a real bra
Yesterday involved a trip into Victoria's Secret. They sent me a card for a free pair of panties, so I figured I'd look around for a new bra.

Huh. Nothing but pre-foamed over-the-shoulder-boulder-holders.

Not a single bra that didn't stand out to THERE already. Unless I'm blind.

The perky, young sales gal asked me, "What can I help you find today?"

"I'm looking for a front-closure, non-bust-enhancing bra."

Miss Perky didn't comprehend. "Oh, we have LOTS of push-up bras! Is this for a special occasion?"

"Nope, I don't want a push-up bra. I'm married, I don't need to fake a guy out anymore."

She was confused. Truly. "What kind of bra do you want?"

"A front-closure, no-foam-included bra. Do you have any of those?"

"No, I don't think we do. Is there anything else I can help you with?"

"OK, how about a no-foam-included bra with a regular back closure?"

"Yes! We have those!" And she leads me to a tiny display of bras that look, literally, like MY FIRST BRA. You know, the type worn by 7-year-old girls that you get with the matching panties at Kmart.

Now it was my turn. "Ah, no."

"Sorry, that's all we have then. Maybe you can find the bra you want on our Web site? Are you on the Internet?"

Yep, kiddo, I've been on the Net probably since you were excitedly picking out that bra set right there with your mommy.

"Yes, but I'll just go to Penney's instead. I'm sure you know how important it is to TRY ON a bra before buying it."

"Oh, OK. Can I help you find anything else today?"

"Sure, I have this card for a free pair of panties. Where are they?"

"Oh, we're totally out of those. No rainchecks or substitutions. Sorry!"

Victoria's Secret sucks. Even for freebies.

Research and double-check, please
Call me a nitpicker, but I truly hate it when journalists don't get their facts straight.

Here is a classic example from Time Magazine's columnist, Ricahrd Corliss:
"But no resolve could keep her awake through Goblet. That was six years ago, and she didn’t know how the story came out until she saw the film last week."

"Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" was first released in hardback in July, 2000.

That means it was just FIVE years ago.

Thankfully, the boo-boo is not as bad as Jason Blair or CBS/Dan Rather.

But it starts somewhere.

Friday Frou Frou: Makin' a list, checkin' it twice...
Top 10 List
1. What tops your top 10 list of favorite Thanksgiving foods?
Dark juicy turkey meat w/butter sandwiches. Love the meal, frothing at thoughts of leftovers!
2. List the last three movies you saw (in or out of the theater). Seriously, I don't watch TV much. The last movie I watched was bits-n-pieces of Purple Rain last week with Munchkin (mostly narrating with trivia.) The flick before that was Revenge of the Sith. I'm at a complete loss to name a third film.

Grocery list
1. What is your favorite grocery store?
Aldi or any Spartan store
2. What materials/tools do you use to make your list? I love to use colored index cards. Office Depot had some cool 1/2-size pastel ones for Back to School.

Shopping list
1. What is your favorite store to shop? (for anything/nothing)
After consignment/thrift, gimme a good Ben Franklin store to browse!
2. Do you usually organize your various lists in any particular order or are they pretty much bullet-style? I try to do my grocery lists by store.

The "Gales of November"
First off, Hubby hasn't been gone a week and I've already lost 5 lbs.!

Munchkin is at the school each night until 10 p.m., so my dinner is usually salsa rice or chicken rice with veggies (stir-fry or California medley.)

YUMMY!

Second, did I mention that Neeko and I haven't been able to take a walk since Monday morning because of the high winds? Over the weekend the gales were so wicked, and prolonged, that not only did quite a few trees tip over in town, but the pole across the street from our neighbors' house leaned SO far over that the streetlamp was actually pitched above the other traffic lane, just about 15 feet from the ground!!! Oh yeah, not good!

Munchkin and I kept tabs on it going further and further over Sunday (our neighbors had called it in), while the winds whipped real good. Sunday night (about 9 p.m.), Miss Digg was finally out staking the street while the power company guys stood there going, "Huh."

But the pole was fixed Monday afternoon. No semis hit the streetlight and no squirrels used it for bungee-jumps. And we never lost power, yay!

Still, the gusts continue into today. Yesterday, we had snow that actually stuck to the ground. It's still there in patches. Of course, people are whining about it, but this IS Michigan and it's been damn balmy until this week! "Oh, I'm not ready for this weather. It's only November."

Same people who complain it's freakin' hot in July. BRILLIANT!

I truly believe that one of the gals that I work with, who I consider a friend, has stretched over paranoia and into madness.

Any little thing and The Powers That Be are out to get HER, she believes, even when it doesn't involve her.

I'm not kidding when I say her eyes get wild and she mumbles to herself a lot. A LOT. I thought she was joking, but now I can tell that she's serious.

When I try to talk her down from a rant, she tells me that I just "don't know the truth" and that I am becoming "one of them." It's been really bad in the last 2 days.

It's really really freaky. And a catch-22, if I try to talk to management about it, she could get fired because of what she says. And if I don't, I feel like I'm NOT a good friend to help her. (She is divorced, so I don't want to do anything to compromise her job.)

Manic Monday
Hubby left for 16 days of deer hunting Friday night. He's staying in our camper at his brother's house and hunting a few miles down the road at our nephew's deer-infested acreage. It's in the middle of an Amish area.

Believe it or not, my hubby isn't one of those guys who "goes hunting," but doesn't hunt. He doesn't hang out with that crowd. He is a die-hard hunter, not a drunk hanging out at the titty-bars. Hubby can do that at home 50 weeks of the year, for his 2-week vacation, he's allowed to walk around with a gun and play Daniel Boone. He lives for that shiat. And bagging a monster 10-pointer.

Munchkin is back in school finally. Quite the little celebrity "chick." Pun intended. This week is tough because drama is gettting ready to do their play, so she's at the school from 7:30 a.m. til 10 p.m.

On the bright side, ALL of her assignments are caught up from her absences.

And I'm FINALLY back home at my regular office. Life is grand again, for a Monday.

Friday frou Frou: Birds of a feather
Thunderbird
1. Do you enjoy thunder and lightening storms?
Yep, but I'm not so thrilled at 3 a.m. when my Neeko starts barking, or baying, at the prlonged thunder.
2. What kinds of birds do you get in your area? Do you keep birdfeeders or special plants out for them? We don't have many birds in our yard. I tried putting out birdfeeders a few years ago, but that drove my five cats NUTS.

Early bird
1. What early signs have you noticed that the holidays are coming?
We got quite a few calls last week about Christmas Club dispursements.
2. If you were a bird, what one would you be? Why? A parrot because they are laughed at for swearing and insulting. I need one for my work office. teehee

"Lady Bird" Johnson
1. Who is your favorite "first lady"?
I did a bit of research on first ladies and Grace Anna Goodhue Coolidge's choice in dogs impresses me. (That ain't no "white collie," but Samoyeds weren't well-known at that time.) Plus, Mrs. Calvin Coolidge worked at the Massachusetts Clarke School for the Deaf.
2. What is your favorite © Johnson & Johnson product? Baby Powder! It's not just for babies.

Edmund Fitzgerald
Everyone in Michigan is well-aquainted with the Edmund Fitzgerald tragedy and the Gordon Lightfoot song.

Today is the 30th anniversary of the infamous Lake Superior sinking. And we still aren't exactly sure what caused the ship to break in half and all 29 crew members to perish. And NO bodies have ever been recovered.

It's good that we haven't forgotten Nov. 10, 1975.

I got one!
OK, Lulu, here is a public high school suspension because of a blog. Thoughts?

Hate-filled Web page earns youth suspension

I think the school has stepped over the line. This was NOT a threat, and it didn't happen on their time. Kids hate other kids. That's high school. Next week, they may be best friends.

Munchkin has been the target of many rumors, including one posted on LiveJournal that she was pregnant. She also had a best friend turn into an enemy after PHYSICAL threats that were posted and printed. I tried to talk to the mother, who said that *I* was overreacting (literally, she considers physical fighting to be normal.) I never thought to take the printouts to the school to get the girl suspended or expelled! It wasn't on school time and there weren't really any laws broken.

And this one is just flat-out funny!

Farethewell, Conversion Van
Finally, I put my foot down and made hubby pull the conversion van out by the road. It has been sitting for more than 2 years, "a project for the boys." We decided $1000, but agreed to go OBO.

Not even 2 hours later, an old guy pulled in and offered $500. On the spot. WOOHOO!!

Hubby hollered for me to get the title. No problem, I have ALL the titles in The Envelope In The Sacred Box.

Except it's not there!

Just that ONE title is missing.

The last time anyone was in That Envelope to remove something was the day we bought the Explosion, er...EXCURSION. Hubby had taken out the title to his clunker 1983 van, back in October 2003.

Thankfully, I keep a record book of ALL our acct numbers, payment info, ect., (from 1996 forward) so I had him call Ford Credit Saturday evening for a copy of the release of lien. Tomorrow, he will be heading to a Secretary of State to get an instant title.

The old man is willing to wait. Why? Because it is an AWESOME deal. And he really needs the van. We could have held off a few days until someone agreed to the $1000 price tag, but this deal isn't really about making money, it's about getting rid of a vehicle that was taking up space in our driveway.

OK, granted there are a TON of memories associated with the van. We bought it the day after our nephew was born in 2000. Absolutely spur of the moment. A few months later, it comfortably took us on our first REAL family vacation...to Florida and up the East Coast to D.C. My stepson saw the hospital where he was born, and his first home, while sitting in that van.

Simba (RIP) loved the conversion van because it was easy for him to get into, and it was the last vehicle he ever rode in (sniff.) I remember our 2002 vacation around Michigan with him sprawled btwn hubby and me and stretched back btwn the kids' seats!

Our kids watched their first Drive-In movie in the van in 2003. They went from children to teenagers in the 3+ years we used the van daily. It saw their changes.

Now, it is the end of an era. We have lots of good memories of the conversion van. Hopefully, the old man will give it a few more.

Sunday snippits
I managed to sleep in this morning. Neeko HAD to go out at 7, and despite the gusting winds, he flopped down for a nap on the patio, and I snuck back into bed (and 3 kitties) for nearly 2 hours.

1. The terrible tornado that struck Indiana early this morning and killed at least 15 is something that we've discussed in our home many times. Sure, I'm a light sleeper and would probably hear the siren a block away, but at 2 a.m., I wouldn't be so cocky as to guarantee it.

Of course, people try to reassure us that we would hear it coming, "it sounds like a freight train." Huh. That means we are even LESS likely to pay a whit of attention to it. In case it's been forgotten, we live directly across the street from active train tracks.

Should the need arise, I'm hoping our 5 cats and Neeko freak out with their 6th sense. It's probably our best warning at 2 a.m.

2. Hubby is heading out-of-town for his annual hunting trip from Saturday until my birthday, so Munchkin and I are already planning next weekend. Friday night, we hope to attend a high school football game. No kidding! My alma mater is up against a local team for the semifinals.

3. Along the lines of next weekend, we plan to hit a few craft sales for some Christmas shopping. Two majors are already finished, my mom and hubby's dad. Munchkin recently discovered a DVD she never gave to her dad, so he is done on her list. Plus, I have a bunch of presents for Munchkin that she never got for her birthday.

Munchkin has requested that we spend Sunday afternoon at our favorite consignment shop so she can buy me a special birthday gift. The kid knows me well!

Been up since 4 a.m.
Munchkin had a bad allergic reaction to the Zovirax prescribed to help her Chicken Pox.

Overnight, her throat swelled up and she could barely swallow or breath through her mouth. Hives on top of chicken pox in her throat. Or maybe it was Chicken Pox on top of the hives. Either way, NASTY BAD!

Mom and Dad got up and while Dad found the Benadryl, mom kept Munchkin calm.

And Dad kept Mom from rushing Munchkin right to the ER. Which is a good thing because once the Benadryl tablet went down her throat, she was on the road to recovery. Absolutely exhausted, she was fast asleep in her "couch cocoon" 15 minutes later. And breathing just fine.

Hubby told me to go back to bed because I had to be at work in less than 4 hours. He grabbed a blanket and flopped on the other end of the couch. It sounded like such a good idea to nap away some of my exhaustion, but as soon as my head hit the pillow, I was wide awake. And thinking scary scenarios that could have been; had my eyes been closed, they would have qualified as nightmares.

Now, though, my sleep should be more restful. It's been a whopping 18 hours, right? And Munchkin had a pretty good day.

Yesterday's trip to the doctor yielded a verdict: CHICKEN POX.

Doc looked a bit skeptical when I told him that I had diagnosed it with help from the Internet. That Look probably preceeded a lecture, until I said that I doubted it was chicken pox because she'd already had it as a baby.

But her symptoms were right on and so were the Google images I found.

He laughed when I kidded, "At least I'm not aiming for her to have something exotic, like Bird Flu."

Munchkin's school needed the doctor's note, so I ran it up there and found out from the secretary that several other parents had called that morning and their kids have chicken pox. Plus, one mother said that several kids on a non-school sporting team have it, too.

"Bet you get even more calls tomorrow and next week!" I predicted.

"Yes, that's what I'm afraid of," she sighed.

Bah Humbug!

100.3 WNIC is already playing Christmas music. No kidding! It started on Nov. 1; they went 24 hours a day, 7 days a week ALL CHRISTMAS TUNES until Dec. 25.

I love Christmas and helped put up Gusto's tree a few weeks ago, but dang! It's a bit much for even me.

This turn of events has brought on the one thing I have put off since Gusto moved away one year ago.

Happy is as happy does
It's true when they say, "Chicken Pox are easier when they are younger."

Munchkin has been sobbing that her face will never again be normal. She has cranky-complained about having to lay around all day and watch TV. She has sobbed at her Calamine-covered face, until, of course, I made a joke.

"Celebrities pay THOUSANDS to have someone slather their face with MUD, then lay around all day. You, my dear Broadway-bound Babe, need to get to lovin' this lifestyle NOW!"

That got a giggle and she did the John Travolta dance with her gloved finger.

Yep, she's suffering. No doubt about it. Completely sucks rocks.

Pox are in her mouth and on her tongue, behind her ears and on her scalp. Not to forget, btwn her fingers and even her armpits.

Needless to say, Mommy Dearest here has been making Munchkin chocolate pudding and letting her sleep on the couch. At least she is happy knowing her mom is trying to keep her happy.

Bumps in the night
Munchkin, at the ripe ol' age of 15, has Chicken pox. She started breaking out last night, but ignored it for all the Halloween fun in town. Today, she missed school because of a fever and feeling all tired. I thought the bump on her cheek was just a pimple.

When I got home a few minutes ago, she showed me more bumps. Maybe it's an allergic reaction to a candy, but I did a bit of research and VIOLA! I found pics online that look darn like those pimples and the CDC gave me even more info.

We thought she had them when she was a year old, but guess not. I hope to have her into the DR Thursday for an official diagnosis. She can miss tomorrow from school, too.

Time to go watch Revenge of the Sith!
