Walking on sunshine. Always tacky.

It's great, on TNT for the past few hours, they have been showing sitcoms like "Cybil" and "Will and Grace," but the soundtrack is "ER."

Speaking of ER, did you hear about George Clooney's medical problems lately? Kinda scary.

Maybe that's a POST-IT stock tip, tho.

Let's get physical
Tomorrow, hubby goes to the doctor for a physical. That's good, right?

Well, it's more for him to "get out of work early."

A few weeks ago, he had his bloodwork run and the results were mailed back: high cholesterol and too much weight. The doc recommended more fruits and veggies and exercise.

I thought I'd been helping him with better lunches, just to find out that he's been hitting McDonald's for breakfast each morning!

This morning, I asked him what he expected to get out of this physical. His answer: "get out of work EARLY!" And to think he HOUNDED me into making his appointment.

Let me tell ya what the dr will say after his physical tomorrow: EXERCISE, eat less, cut out the chewing tobacco and beer. He has little muscle tone and a 9-month prego belly. A brisk walk each evening would do him wonders! And no, he doesn't like to ride his bicycle either.

Will he do the changes? Nope. I ask him EVERY night if he wants to walk with us, but he's too tired. "I've been on my feet all day!" But he's not too tired to go chat up the neighbor with a few beers, while we walk and I go make dinner, and he is STANDING all the while.

I know, I can't change him...

Wenching it up
Munchkin and I spent today at the Michigan Renaissance Festival. A coworker gave me 2 free tickets a few weeks ago, so we made the trip to medieval land.

We didn't see the jousting, but our favorite show was the knife and axe jugglers. It was also fun to see the dogs dressed up with butterfly wings and in jester outfits. Quite a few times, Munchkin and I saw women who were one breath away from bursting out of their bustiers!

Speaking of which, Munchkin talked me into buying HER a leather and suede bustier for her birthday present. I didn't let her go in her Kitchen Wench outfit (from last spring's school play), so she guilt-tripped me profusely. Nobody else bothered to warn me that dressing up was OK for us, commoners, too!

The shop workers joked with Munchkin while she was fitted. I thought Munchkin would protest being felt up (for sizing), but she never even blushed! She did giggle when the guy teased her she could tell her boyfriend that she'd been tied up by a man in his shop today.

They actually laced her corset panels in front of us, then the gal took her behind the curtain to finish cinching her into it. After, the gal and guy both gave her tips on how to boost her cleavage to look more um...BUSTY. And what to wear underneath, like NO BRA.

Munchkin absolutely fell in love with the RenFest and chatted nonstop about getting a job there when she is old enough and can drive herself. She also commented on buying period clothes when she visits our fave resale shops. I also suggested that she watch the clearance racks at the mall.

She is eagerly planning our trips next year. And her Wenching outfits! And Neeko's costumes!

Liquid gold
Today, I had nearly 1/2 of a tank of gas STOLEN from my Jeep while Munchkin, her bf and I ate a late lunch at our favorite sit-down restaurant.

Thing is, I'm not really mad. When I discovered it this evening, I was really confused. I shut my Jeep off, just to make sure the gauge wasn't stuck on 1/8. Then I got out and smelled for a gas leak. Nope, whew!

THEN it dawned on me. I'd been syphoned!

The anger just never happened. It's not like someone sliced my tires or broke my windows to steal my crappy 80s CDs. In fact, he/she even put the gas cap back on and closed the little door!

He/she stole GAS. And we know it WILL be used. Maybe it was needed to get to work or visit a sick relative. I doubt it was for a joy ride, but even if it was, maybe the person NEEDED some joy in his/her life.

I'm lucky that it didn't hurt me to replace that $25 worth of gas. So, I won't complain.

But I am buying a locking gas cap tomorrow!

Friday Frou Frou: Opposites attract
Opposites attract
1. What is an example of a case where you hold an opinion opposite a majority of people?
I was criticizing our invasion of Iraq long ago, before it was In Vogue. I knew it was wrong then and that we wouldn't "win" before we ever set foot there. I knew President Bush was lying about WMD and strongly suspected he wrongly linked Saddam to Sept. 11, 2001.
2. When was the last time you felt a surprising attraction to an item/person? I fell in love with the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Magnum. Hubby keeps promising me that one day, I'm going to pull into our driveway and my Magnum will be sitting there. Only thing stopping him is that I love my Jeep, "my girl" is doing great. And I hate car payments, especially the unnecessary ones! lolol

Polar opposites
1. Have you ever read or seen "The Polar Express"?
Nope, the movie previews didn't excite me last year, I'm not a Tom Hanks fan, but I plan to read the book this winter.
2. If the majority believes one thing, do you normally voice your opposing opinion? Heck yeah!

Identical twins
1. Growing up, were you friends with any identical twins?
Yes, Kara and Krista were in my grade and both were good friends of mine for most of elementary, junior and senior highs.
2. When were you been disappointed with a knock-off item (taste or quality, etc.)? Generic toilet paper is just nasty to touch. And I agree with Lulu on QTips. Nothing better than them!

The New Job
There is much to celebrate with hubby working "just down the street." Actually, it's 16 miles, or 20 minutes, which is a far cry from his previous drive of 75 miles, or MINIMUM 80 minutes. That was good traffic at 4:30 a.m.

1. Hubby doesn't have to get up until 6:15 a.m. I am up at 6 a.m. to make sure Munchkin is getting ready for school. Hubby is no longer a bear to wake up.
2. Start time for hubby is 7 a.m., so he gets to chat with Munchkin in the morning while he puts on his boots and jacket. Also, he is able to eat breakfast (danishes) when he gets in the shop early.
3. I no longer have to make him a lunch. Why? because with just 2 men in the building, I buy the big packs of lunchmeats and send a loaf of bread, fixings and snacks each week. They make their own sammiches on break. (Sam's Club is awesome for the snack bags of chips and individually-wrapped danishes.)
4. Hubby leaves work at 4:30 and is home before 5 p.m. It's a beautiful, relaxing ride on his bike. Unless, of course, he goes thru The Intersection.

Just another country song

"You had me at hello, but now you say goodbye"

It's such a shame about Renee and Kenny ending their marriage after just 4 months. OK, it didn't work out, but damn, to make Dr. Phil's prediction right?!!? UGH!

A gal I work with is in LOVE with Mr. "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy." Yesterday, the local country station was hinting that Kenny is gay, much to my coworker's protest. Everyone else was teasing her about the gossip.

Of course, I tried to cheer her up with my wit. "I know just what you are going thru. When I was in high school, I was in love with George Michael."

"You know, he's gay, too." I got a death glare from her and quite a few snickers from my coworkers.

Actually, I don't believe Kenny is gay. Or that he didn't want kids. She's Connecticut and California. He's Nashville and the Caribbean.

And you know, Renee's got a track record, too. Jack White, an engagement to Jim Carrey, dating George Clooney...

Doesn't it seem her wanting an annulment in California on the grounds of FRAUD is a bit attention-whorish? What's wrong with an old-fashioned divorce? Could it have something to do with a prenup? Or maybe the ABSENCE of a prenup?

"Hey, Renee, Kenny called. He wants his tractor back."

"Those People"
Dang, I didn't realize Livonia has more of a "white" population percentage than my little town!

That is 94.1% (Livonia) vs. 93.1% (My Little Town.)

Populations: Livonia approx 100,000 and My Little Town approx 350.

I love reading these the Livonia residents excusing, "I don't want to sound prejudiced, but..."

They fear SuperWalmart will bring in The Black People. To their neighborhoods! Oh, the crime! They, the residents, feel powerless to take back their "ghetto."

Oh, yes, and "Municipal offices in Livonia do not close on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day..."

On a side note, my mother had to go to court last week about 4 WHITE teenage boys in her Very White Town who had gone around stealing lawn ornaments/decorations, then breaking them and trashing prized gardens (which are part of a tour put on by the city each year.)

At 2 a.m. on a school night last May.

Of course, their lawyers proclaimed them to be "Very Good Boys, who just made a mistake."

It's NOT "just a mistake" to purposely become a THIEF and destroy private property at 2 a.m. on a SCHOOL night.

They were ordered community service, court costs and restitution. One lawyer tried to get my mom and some of the other recipients to let the boys mow their yards/rake leaves, etc. as community service. My mom laughed and said, "You're nuts if you think I'm going to set myself up to worry about those delinquents in my yard!"

And NONE of these Very Good boys or their parents apologized to any of their victims.

THE GAS PRICES ARE FALLING!

THE GAS PRICES ARE FALLING!

Last week, they were $2.85 in my area. Today, they are $2.59.

But I paid $2.55 last night when I drove SS to meet his mom.

Thought it would be appropriate to holler when it goes DOWN, because so many people holler when it goes UP.

Now, go hug your local gas station attendant.

Time to call in the "worm guy"
The Toronto Star printed a great piece on the New Orleans water and how our EPA is reacting.

Wading into an E. coli stew

Read it and remember that people are going back. Sections of the city are open, but what about the bacteria on the streets, on the ground? And when it rains...

There are oil spills, gas leaks, major toxic sites (like a landfill) and hazardous waste train cars that are still UNDERWATER.

It seems like a breeding ground for disease even when the city becomes dry. And a health disaster waiting to happen.

Chic cheap
Today, I finally realized how in vogue being cheap has become.

While grocery shopping, I parked next to an H2 at Save-a-lot. Just a few stops before, my Jeep was 2 spots from a lady putting her boxes in her convertible Jaguar at Aldi.

Big Lots, like my cheaper grocery stores, was quite full with cars and Big SUVs. They have expanded their furniture area and every sales associate in the dept was helping a customer. Art Van, which is almost right across the street, didn't seem as busy.

I have shopped the dollar stores for 15 years, back when it was poo-poo'd as "Cheap Stuff." Now, EVERYONE goes to Dollar Bills and Dollar Tree.

For the Cheap Stuff.

Friday frou Frou: Blue x 3
Blue cheese
1. What is a quick remedy when you are feeling blue?
I like to read, whether it is the news online or a book.
2. What is your favorite variety of cheese? My preference is typically called CoJack--colby and monterrey jack.

Blue collar
1. What is your favorite shade of blue?
Light blue, it's cheerier for me.
2. Do you prefer to wear shirts with collars or without? With collars. Shirts without collars tend to be worn sloppier or lower-cut and often have a T-shirt look to them.

Red, white and blue
1. What book are you reading?
"Cha cha cha," by Jane Heller. No reason, not even a recommendation. I picked it up at a book sale (2 bags for $2.) It's light reading, perfect way to spend my lunch hour.
2. YES OR NO: does flag burning as protest annoy you? NO!

1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo
People still look at me like I'm nuts when I profess my undying love for my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo.

C'mon, she's almost 10 years old now! They think I should desire flopping my butt into some new vehicle. We have one of those. It sucks.

And I've had her for 8 of those 10 years. There's no describing how resilient she is, how much we've been thru (an emergency trip to Florida, moving, snow storms, bad oil changes, etc.), including The Suicidal Deer: how I got my first rack.

A 5-point, if you must know. And we ATE it for many a dinner, too.

Even more impressive is this 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo story: Hurricane Katrina, 14 people and being stolen and abused.

Fix her up all pretty and she'll be just dandy.

These Jeeps have character and spunk. And that's why my Jeep has so many stories.

NO FEAR
Nearly 3 decades ago, thanks to my father, I developed an unnatural fear of a freakin' little bug.

It was so bad, that I once became so hysterical that I had to be slapped out of it.

Yesterday, I saw this little guy's identical twin making his way across our patio. Finally fed up with Living In Fear, and while hubby and Munchkin watched, I reached down and picked him up, letting him crawl around my hand.

Then, my arm.

Without screaming or crying or even whimpering. Or turning blue.

And I lived.

But my mom nearly died from shock when I called to tell her!

The difference in degrees
As reported here last Spring, my sister (who is 11 months older than me) graduated from college with a basic Associate's Degree.

And boy, that made her so SMART!

Not too long after, she decided that she didn't want to be a teacher, since the starting wage is only about $25,000. Now, she wants to be a social worker because "they make the big bucks." (I digress, but that's another whole story.)

So, she decided to transfer to a university in Detroit.

Gguess what?

They will NOT recognize her degree from the local community college. And they have enrolled her as a FRESHMAN.

Oh yeah, she even has to retake her Math and English courses because the college courses did not make the university cut! OUCH! (Let's just hope they don't hear how poorly she speaks Spanish after 2 years.)

My mom tried to warn her. My sister even had a friend who went thru the same thing with the same university. They are damn tough on transfers.

But THIS is different because my sister plans to Show Them The Light. Her first step has been telling her counselor off.

That's her Smart Move.

Quickees
1. I just resigned as Parent Secretary of Munchkin's class. There is a meeting tonight, but nobody bothered to notify me with the details until Friday p.m., and since I was out of town all weekend, I didn't get the e-mail until this morning. And, hey, I didn't notify the other parents of the meeting tonight, either. Plus, it wasn't even listed in the school Daily Announcements. Why? more on that later.
2. I saw my nephew (the only son of my youngest older brother) for the first time in 9 years yesterday. He's 20 now and TALL. And not a bad kid, either. YAY!
3. Munchkin got her Homecoming dress and shoes. Pics later.

Walking on Sunshine has another birthday!
Today, WOS is 4 years old!

Thanks to Gusto, I started when blogging was still relatively new. It never crossed my mind to try to portray myself as Pollyanna with a diary or write, "How I spent my summer" essays. Instead, I decided to talk HONESTLY about this-n-that: news, religion, work, vacations and family, give tips and share my personal insight on adoption/addictions/abuse/etc. I didn't want to angle it toward newsy-news or make it just about me-mes. What works for others doesn't work for me.

WOS is eclectic: silly at times, snarky at others. Just like real life. This is MY train, I get the cute conductor hat and y'all are along for the ride, complete with unexpected bumps, sudden stops and annoying whistles.

Blogging is my own type of therapy, no drugs or appts necessary. Not even an insurance card.

Every once in a while, WOS must take a backseat in my life, and I give myself breaks from logging into Blogger.com, who has been there since WOS's beginning (because I couldn't get GreyMatter to work. It's true.)

And the horrible events of Sept. 11, 2001, kickstarted my very first post:

"The city that never sleeps."

Until today, that is how most people described New York City. Now, it will forever be known as the city that came through the worst act of terrorism in the entire world. New York stopped today, much like the dinosaurs after the supposed meteor that hit Earth millions of years ago and wiped them out.

Right now, we don't have faces to put with the victims, but that reality is probably just a sunrise away. The media has been kind and respectful, how TV hosts held up on camera, I do not know. I could not and I admit it. Simba saw most of my tears today and even though he didn't understand them, he allowed himself to be a shoulder to cry on. I cried for the many victims and their families, this is a hell I could never imagine. And I cried selfishly because *I* was relieved that my family was safe.

It is scary to not know EXACTLY who is responsible. I wish this person(s) would accept responsibility, so we can deal with the situation. How much more had he/she planned? I admire the FAA for their quick response. It probably saved many many lives.

New York will still be known as "the city that never sleeps." Is that because they now fear sleep?

Friday Frou Frou: Animation imagination
Pixar
1. What is your favorite Pixar Animation feature film?
I enjoyed Monsters, Inc. Toy Story, a movie I took Munchkin to see, just doesn't do it for me.
2. What cartoon from the past do you think would make the next great Pixar Animation feature film? I vote for anything Captain Caveman.

Looney Tunes
1. Which is your favorite Looney Tunes character?
I always thought the best LT cartoons were the wolf, Ralph, and Sam the sheepdog. It showed them clocking out at the end of the day. "'night, Ralph." "'night, Sam."
2. Which Looney Tune can't you stand? Tweety. blah.

Disney
1. What is your favorite animated Disney movie?
My happiest memories are watching The Little Mermaid over and over and over and over in the backseat of the very big car, with Munchkin when she was a baby. She absolutely LOVED that movie and anything Ariel.
2. Have you been to any of the Disney theme parks? Nope, and I have no inclination to, either. When we went to Florida on vacation back in June 2000 with the kids, we drove thru Orlando on our way back from the Kennedy Space Center. It didn't even look fun!

Who is more ignorant, Barbara Bush or my 19-year-old coworker, Jennie?

"And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway," she said, "so this is working very well for them."
Barbara Bush, touring the Astrodome in Houston, Sept. 5

Yesterday, Jennie asked me if I had seen the "raggedy hitchhiker" on my way to work. I said no and she said it was "scary because those types of people shouldn't be out." Then, Jennie seriously questioned, "Is it legal to hitchhike?" Yes, dear, it is legal. "Oh, well, it shouldn't be!"

OK, admittedly, Jennie is very young and VERY VERY dumb. And incredibly IGNORANT. Her lame excuse is that she lives in the country. Usually, I try to deflect her stupidity with my coworkers and explain The Real World to Jennie.

Yesterday, that didn't happen. After Jennie described the man as also carrying a few bags, I was completely dumbfounded at her calling him, "disgusting."

My blood boiled. NOTHING excuses that type of insensitivity. "Oh, OK, Jennie, this man should have been arrested for making YOU feel uncomfortable as you DROVE your new car past him at an intersection?"

I'm not joking or exaggerating. She stared at me. "Well, yeah."

"Oh my god, Jennie, shut up right now. You are IGNORANT. Do you NOT realize that the man was probably HOMELESS and probably doesn't want to be 'raggedy' or 'disgusting'? Or looked down upon?"

"Well, I don't like seeing that, especially near my house!" she insisted like a teenage brat.

"Jennie, you are incredibly ignorant. SHUT. UP. NOW. Most 3 year-olds have more compassion than you! Do you NOT know that there are refugees from Louisiana and Mississippi coming up here with literally, NOTHING? They lost EVERYTHING! No, you just don't want to see The Real World on a street corner. Instead of thinking how much better you are than him, you might try to remember your 'Christianity' that you claim is so much better than Catholicism or Judaism. You know, something like, 'There but for the Grace of God, goes I.'"

Jennie just stood there with wide eyes. In fact, several coworkers were also staring at me. They were shocked...I am usually very tolerant of Jennie.

"You know, Jennie, you don't have a house payment or electric bills to pay and even your car insurance isn't in your own name. You've NEVER had to support yourself. So you don't know much about the world. Just think, without your grandpa footing the big bills, you probably wouldn't be in college full-time, because you'd have to WORK full-time. Really, you aren't much better off than that guy. Have you ever stopped to think that it could all be taken away tomorrow if your grandpa died today? Dang, that must be a pretty scary thought!"

Jennie was very quiet after that, and pretty worried that I hated her, too. But then I did my regular lunch run for a Diet Coke and she put her order in, too.

Hopefully, I made her think. Realistically, I think she just felt more sorry for herself.

2 cups of sarcasm
Hubby and I were positively thrilled to hear The Big Family News his brother finally quit his job of 12 years. And on Labor Day, no less.

It was such an ingenius idea, with him being a dad of 2 kids, one 13 and the other 5 years old. You know, he wasn't happy and it was a dead-end position, he'd reached upper management and the only higher position and higher wage was becoming the owner.

Of course, it won't be easy since he and his wife have NO savings and 2 new car payments and a new house payment. Not to mention credit card debt to maintain HIS "happiness." But at least he's still got the monthly statement to show his weekends spent gambling and at nice hotels.

And he can relive the memories 24/7, since he has absolutely no jobs, or even interviews, lined up to distract him.

We have promised to be totally supportive of his decision. You know, because he made it entirely on his own, without discussing it with his wife of 16 years, who is an absolute wreck over the situation. It is, after all, His Life.

Hubby's mom has proposed the most wonderful idea of my hubby hiring his brother. We are brainstorming how to make it possible, since his brother doesn't own a toolbox fit for work. Nor has he ever been any type of mechanic. He's mid-30s, that's a ripe age to learn a skilled trade!

The big obstacle about hubby hiring his brother isn't the fact that his brother lives 2+ hours away (he could just stay with us until his wife and kids move down, maybe, as it was suggested, I "could get her hired in" with me?), but there might be serious Union issues with hubby's coworkers who pay dues to get primo jobs by seniority, not nepotism.

The last time little bro pulled this childish stunt, 2 weeks later he was grovelling for his old position. He couldn't hack The Real World. This time, though, the owner has told him, "Farewell."

Better jobs just are NOT to be had in that seasonal area...unemployment is in the double digits 9 months of the year! And starting pay is close to minimum wage with very little raises. Benefits, including health insurance, are nearly nil.

Fall cleaning
SHOUTOUT! Today, my father turns 60 years old.

Each evening this week will be spent backing up lots of old data from my puter onto CD. I'm nearly out of space on my 10GB harddrive from 1999. Hey, that was HUGE back then! I literally have 1/4 of a gig left.

Plus, I am almost at capacity for my Web space, less than 10% left there. That needs to be cleaned out, too, because Munchkin will be needing some for her class projects.

I guess this qualifies as fall cleaning!

"I want you to stonewall it."
President Richard M. Nixon

Michael Moore posted a letter to President Bush about Hurricane Katrina on his Web site. And Moore hits the nail on the head when he states, "I mean, it's not like this happened to Kennebunkport. Can you imagine leaving white people on their roofs for five days?"

Let's face it, even staunch Republicans are horrified at President Bush's lack of reponse to the victims in the region. Meanwhile, the White House is trying to undo the damage by shifting the blame to the state of Louisiana, while Condelleeza shops for shoes in NYC.

As everyone knows, when the going gets tough, the tough go shoe shopping!

In case you didn't know and didn't want to ask
For all those who have been reading about Louisiana and were confused, like me, about her PARISHES, those are NOT churches. Or towns.

"Parish" is equal to "county."

There, we have learned something new today. But there is MORE! A bit of trivia about Louisiana: one of her state songs is, "You are my sunshine." I like that one.

And extra KUDOS to the "Union, Justice, Confidence" state from the Queen B about their state insect, the honey bee.

Seeing as I'm in the informational super highway mode, gotta share that I absolutely LOVE the new NESCAFÉ ICE JAVA in chocolate mocha. (TIP: use chocolate milk instead of white.) It's so much cheaper and more convenient than Tim Horton's Ice Cappucino. Of course, that was more of a treat with Munchkin, since the closest Tim's is 18 miles away.

That translates to gas savings of $6. Take that loss like a REAL man, Mr. Hotshot Oil Company Executive! bahahaha

Hey, at least I'm making use of my blender after all these years. Or, as it has been nick'd all these years, Hubby's Margarita Mixer.

Devil's advocate
The kids made it through The First Week of School. Hard to believe they are both sophomores!

Hubby got to work at his New Shop a few days this week, spiffing it up, which was great! Not only did The Powers That Be give him a company truck for hauling oodles of office stuff up there, but the few days he actually HAD to drive his own vehicle, he just jumped on the Magna.

We love that he's just going to be 16 miles from home, just a 20 minute drive. And his start time is an hour later. This translates to me being able to sleep past the usual 4 a.m. quiet-as-a-graveyard. Get-up-n-go time is now the LUXURIOUS 6 a.m.

Friday afternoon, hubby got the surprise of a lifetime. His X and son spontaneously stopped by The New Shop to see him, because they were "in the area" for her doctor appt.

Of course, I was immediately suspicious. That's like saying the devil stopped by a church because he was "in the area." And sure, there was chitchat about getting their son into Stunt, er...STUDENT driving.

But during the visit, she also chatted down her current husband. What she said, and how she said it, disgusted my hubby enough that he flat out reminded her that without her current hubby, she wouldn't be where she is today. And how lucky she is to have found another guy to put up with her shit.

After all, my hubby IS her 2nd X husband.

And she just laughed like he was the funniest guy in the world.

Friday Frou Frou: Cause and effect.
Flooding
1. Have you ever experienced a flood in your house, yard, community, etc.? What happened?
I grew up in a community that had ice jams in front yards almost yearly and the very real threat of springtime flooding with the rivers. Not really in my yard, but the worst of it was just a few blocks, literally, away from our house.
2. If you had to evacuate your home and community, where would you head? Stay in a hotel or with family/friends, etc.? We'd just hook up the camper and get OUT. Which way we have to go for the best safety determines which "lucky" family member or friend gets to plug us in!

Power outages
1. When you lose power, what do you miss the most?
I hate not having running water, even though I have many bottles filled with extra water for flushing the toilets and washing hands, not to mention drinking water bottles. I like to be prepared.
2. How do you typically pass time when you lose power? When the weather is cool/cold, we throw a few logs in the fireplace and read or chat. When it is warm, we just head outside and chat up the neighbors.

Gas Hike
1. How much is gas at your neighborhood station today?
I heard it went down to $3.19 all over town today. I don't care, I'm on 1/8 tank and plan to put in gas manana so I can go visit Gusto and my parents on Sunday. Because Gusto coming to town is well worth just about ANY gas price! The only way to truly protest these prices is to not USE/BUY as much gas. I'm still on the $15 I put in my tank last Wednesday, Aug. 24.
2. Will you be hiking/walking/biking more now that the prices are going up so high? Nope. I already get plenty of walking, about 4 miles, in EACH day as real exercise. I don't believe I should ride to work and get all stinky and sweaty. Not real good in my line.
