Cats DO get white hair when they age!
Princess is getting old. Next month, she will be 8 years old. She has white hair on her back. And still just 3 lbs.

Last month, she developed a cough. I called Doc, who reminded me she is getting old (in cats years, she's about 57 years old.)

A few weeks ago, one of her wounds became infected.

Friday night, she was scampering around our patio eating grass and one of the neighbor cats got her good. He was about 12 lbs and rolled her over a few times. Painfully. I punted him off, and saw her struggle to stand up.

She spend Thursday night and Friday in The Recovery Room, aka my bathroom. This completely freaked out my UTI kitty, who is used to the exclusive use of it. He is used to being locked IN, not OUT. Nurse Munchkin pulled duty.

Princess is fine now, not even a limp. The cough is occasional, but it reminds me of my old dog, who had to be put down. He started with a cough.

Princess is the Queen of my cats. The others seek her approval. They want her to let them lay next to her without getting a smack. They want to share her special food.

When I released her from The Recovery Room, she laid down on my bed and each cat got a turn preening her. Because even the leader sometimes has to be babied.
