Anybody see a blue plastic garbage can fly by this afternoon?
These high winds have been causing A LOT of trouble in Michigan today, the least of which is our lost can, which is probably in OZ by now! The new roof on our backyard neighbor's house (that was put on this past September) is flapping away, bit by bit. Howling winds have been in the 40-50 mph range for more than 12 hours, and will probably continue another 12.
1. I saw a FOR SALE sign laying in our backyard and there aren't any house on the market for 3 blocks!
2. Right now, about 125,000 Michigan residents are without power. We are VERY lucky to not be among those numbers.
3. It was warm and raining buckets this afternoon, then the cold front pushed in and an hour later, the temps had fallen by double digits. We now have SNOW!
4. Interstate-75 has been closed for the last few hours near Flint due to terrible road conditions.
